Red face Territory switch

What i would like is one more territory switch so you get six......im stuck on the american server now becouse i did not pay attention. i found a lot of europeans with the same problem and they would like to switch back to. becouse of the 5 times u can switch you will never be able to switch back to the territory u started on and one extra switch wont hurt anyone.
so please for the people who are stuck on a territory, they actually dont want to be on, add another switch so you have six. will make a lot of people who did not pay attention (like me) very happy.

actually, since quite a few months back you can only switch servers 4 times so you can leave, return, leave, return. You should have paid attention, it says how many more you have left when you do it. Contact support.guildwars.com and beg for mercy, they will usually send you back home if you ask really nice, but don't expect more switches.

What do you mean you can only switch servers 5 times? It must be a european server thing, because just this past week, I went through 13 different servers(american) in Ascalon one by one.

You mean districts, Gorebrex. He's talking about actually switching from the American server to the European server. All of those "Ascalon American District x" instances are based on the American server.

Perhaps a counter reset when Factions comes out (at least) for people with this problem?

Why they have limited territory switches so strictly? I understand that it should not be unlimited but if you have zero switches left, they could add one switch after a month. That way you can't reserve switches but get extra one only because you really need it. How anyone can abuse it if you can switch once per month?

Yeah, I'm stuck in the American districts too, and I feel like going back to Europe too, but I can't.

They limit it to avoid people server hoping just because their region isn't currently holding the HoH so they can't get into the underworld or fissure.

That happens sometimes, nothing to worry about.

I like zakarr's idea.....it wont screw up the reason why people can only switch a limited amount of times. ones a month 1 switch would work for me. i realy want to get back on the euro servers.

They should do away with the favor thing and let people play on whatever server they want.

I have no idea how you even switch servers, but my friend and I are constantly playing in international dist. but I want to be on his side of the world, or him come over here, cause it sucks being in international when there aren't a lot of players around.

no they should not. Its a nice thing that different territorys (usa, europe, japan, korea etc) have to fight against eachother to get favour.

I am in America, but I in no way contribute to whether or not we have favor, but I still benefit when we do have it. I do the same amount of stuff as someone somewhere else, but I get the favor because I won the geographical jackpot and was born in the US. Not really fair, but then again, who said life was fair?

It's actually NOT a good thing since the favor concept is flawed beyond belief (there are a lot of threads on this, so I won't dive into this).

But the least they could do (without even hurting the Worlds at War misconcept) is allowing 2 territory changes PER MONTH. This way you wouldn't at least get stuck at some time.

so if i email the guildwars support link on the log in page do u think it would be possible to get back in american sever cause all my guildies play on the american server. Thanks for any replies

I reckon they should allow you to change any time you want, but only when the territory you're changing to doesn't have favour.

Agreed, there should be either more changes or none at all.

A couple of changes per week /month does sound more appealing
to me though and i bet many, many other people would agree too.

"EDIT"
At the time of writing this originaly i only have /had 1 change left on my us servers
account but since then i bought another account and left it on the euro servers so
that i pretty much always had favour back then, some thngs have changed but
still i usualy have plenty of favour through the day, ...

The only reason why they made that 5 time change thing is so that people will fight for their country in HoH so they will be able to go into Fow or UW.

Also to prevent all the players ending up in a certain servers because they always have the favor and no stupid tips like : Go America, they always have the favor.

Who to fight against in HoH then, that great feature might be abolished if they didn't.

So...not paying attention is no excuse at all, because those words above are coming from a person who never swiched servers before.
